Rated 1 out of 5 by JEBMT from unhappy SIDE OF TOEBOX SPLIT AND FAILED ON THIS PAIR OF BOOTS WHICH WAS A REPLACEMENT FOR THE FIRST PAIR WHICH ALSO FAILED IN THE SAME PLACE. THESE ARE GREAT BOOTS FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND THEN....... I WILL TRY ANOTHER PAIR SINCE IT HAS BEEN A FEW YEARS AND SALOMON HOPEFULLY HAS CORRECTED THE PROBLEM

Der eine Schuh läuft bei 4cm Wassertiefe voll, der andere wird ordentlich feucht.Für einen nicht-wasserdichten Wanderschuh (nach dem Einlaufen): 5 SterneFür einen wasserdichten Wanderschuh: 1 SternFür das Einlaufen: 1 Stern(Kleiner Trost: Auch andere Premium-Marken schaffen es nicht, einen dauerhaft wasserdichten Membranstiefel herzustellen.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by wildumpqua from Rubber Peeled Away From Toe I'm a long time, loyal Salomon boot wearer. My last pair were Quests and the rubber peeled away from the toe sooner than what I thought. I went ahead and replaced them with the newer Quest 4. Out of the box, they were exceptionally stiff from toe-to-heel. As an offtrail hiker, this meant it was constant. This did not go away and caused pain on pretty much every step on inclines. None of my other Salomon boots caused this at all. The biggest deal breaker was the rubber along the front of the foot coming away from the shoe. I owned them for ~8-10 months and it started happening during this time. And this was only over ~10 short trips. A lot of good things about these boots, but they're let down by foot pain and especially bad glue.
