Today on the blog I’m sharing plus size beach outfit ideas, specifically for babes who are asking, “What should I wear for a plus size beach vacation?”
I recently visited Provincetown, Massachusetts, which is a quintessential beach town! I spent my days at the pool and by the beach, and then went out for really nice dinners in the evening. This roundup is full of outfits I would wear on a vacation to a beach in the Northeastern United States [ex: New England], or another cooler beach climate –not necessarily a tropical beach vacation.

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #1: Beach Maxi-Dress
First up on our list is a plus size maxi dress! I usually see babes rock a blue or white maxi dress on the beach. This dress doesn’t fit my personal aesthetic (but I love the background as it’s perfect for this post, lol), so if you’re not into patterns you can definitely go with a solid color maxi dress. This plus size maxi dress is from Eloquii, and I find they have the best plus size maxi dresses for a beach vacation!
I’d pair this outfit with fun dangly earrings, flip flops and anti-chafe shorts to wear underneath!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #2: Light Denim Shorts with Tee
If you plan on going for a hike or off adventuring, I recommend packing a pair of high waist denim shorts. I like to get high waisted shorts, because they tend to protect my thighs from chub rub.
I’d style the denim shorts with white tennies, simple gold jewelry, fun sunnies and a tight t-shirt or cami that’s tucked in! The shorts pictured are no longer available – but I *love* this photo, so I’ve linked other plus size denim shorts here.

I loveeee the next plus size beach outfit, because to me–this outfit *SCREAMS* leisure!
This outfit is available in up to a size 28/30, and was just MADE for playing in the sand and fun romantic moments on the beach at sunset. I love the tiered silhouette on these palazzo pants by Eloquii!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #5: White & Black Striped Plus Size Sun Dress
Now let’s talk easy fun plus size dresses that make a great beach outfit! This striped black and white dress from Eloquii is effortlessly chic, and is available in up to a size 6X or size 30!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #6: Colorful Linen Romper
Rompers are my go-to outfit for a plus size beach vacation, because it’s just ONE piece to throw on –I don’t have to worry about packing a certain number of tops and bottoms.
I love linen rompers because they’re more breathable. This romper from Eloquii is super bright and fun, and I can definitely see wearing this on a beach in Miami or The Keys!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #7: Dresses from City Chic
In my not so humble opinion, a plus size white linen, or a white dress with crochet/lace details is critical for a plus size beach vacation. Heads up, City Chic has TWO websites — one for their Australia customers and one for their babes in the USA! I’ve linked the US website here, as i’m in the USA!
My current fave spot to snag these kinds of plus size beachy dress is City Chic! The brand goes up to a size 24!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #8: Lightweight Black Jumpsuit
When arriving at your destination, it can be hard to know just how “Dressed Up” you need to be! No one wants to feel out of place while on vacation, so I always pack a plus size black romper or jumpsuit. I make sure it’s lightweight, so I can also wear it during the day! This plus size beach outfit is available in up to a size 28 from Eloquii. It also comes in a medium blue color and yellow!
A jumpsuit or romper can also act as a cover-up if you decide to go into town or go shopping while on vacation. Just throw it on over your swimsuit, and you’re good to go!
I like to style a jumpsuit like this with bracelets and earrings (as well as fun shoes for evening – no flip flops!). A black jumpsuit or romper is my favorite plus size vacation travel outfit! It can be dressed up or down!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #9: Tiered or Ruffled Skirt Set with Tee
When it comes to beach vacations, the name of the game is *~* breezy outfits *~*!!
For this reason, I love seeing babes in a tiered dress or a plus size matching skirt and top set. It shows that you’re stylish and fun, but you’re also keeping cool!
I am OBSESSED with this whole beach vacation outfit from Madewell, complete with tee, ball cap, and tennies. It is available in up to a size 4X from Madewell.

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #10: White Top with Paper Bag Trousers or Shorts
The theme in any beach outfit for a plus size vacation is lots of linen and WHITE! I think a white top with paper bag shorts (or wide leg trousers is so dang classy)!
Make sure that your hotel or Airbnb will have an iron, as being wrinkled while out and about isn’t cute! This plus size beach outfit from Mac’s is available in up to a size 24!

Plus Size Beach Vacation Outfit #11: Plus Size Chambray Shirt & Shorts
Chambray fabric is usually blue and feels like a lightweight denim almost. I find that this fabric travels very well and looks very chic! I love to pair a chambray button down shirt with white or black shorts for a plus size beach vacation outfit!
You can get a plus size chambray shirt from just about any retailer, and I chose this one from Good American because it has a little sparkle and razzle dazzle!

JIBRI is one of my fave plus size brands, and all pieces are made in the USA – Atlanta, Georgia, to be specific!
